Start with Getting started. It walks from installing the app to exporting a finished takeoff, and takes about twenty minutes.

If you are in a hurry, the one thing worth reading first is how to set the drawing scale. Every quantity depends on it.

Find your way around

Before you measure covers the drawing scale, region settings and units. Getting these right once saves correcting numbers later.

Taking off quantities has a page for each tool, grouped by what you are measuring: areas, lengths, and counts.

Common questions

My fill spread across the whole drawing. Lower the Color Tolerance in Region Settings, or close the gap in the boundary with the Manual Border tool.

My quantities look wrong by a consistent factor. The drawing scale is almost certainly wrong. Re-calibrate against a known dimension.

I need to measure only part of a sheet. Use a Zone to restrict the takeoff to an area, for example a single phase.

Getting help

Go to Settings → Advanced → Export Support Bundle and send us the file. It contains diagnostic logs and no drawing content, and it usually tells us immediately what went wrong.
